e-Cert Control Manager
(for e-Cert for Smart ID Card)

To use the e-Cert Control Manager software on your PC, your PC should comply with the following requirements:-

1. Operating System
   Microsoft Windows 98 / 2000 / NT / Me / XP / Vista (English or Traditional Chinese Version)
2. Hardware - Smart Card Reader
   An e-Cert-compatible Smart Card Reader (and its driver) should be installed on your PC.
3. Software - Microsoft Management Console (MMC) (for Windows 98/NT/Me users only)
   1. If you are using Windows 98/NT/Me, the MMC software is required* for operating the "Advanced Mode" of the e-Cert Control Manager.
      • Download and install the MMC 1.2 (English version, ~3MB); or
      • Download and install the MMC 1.1a (Chinese Version, ~2.1MB)
   2. If you are using Windows 2000/XP/Vista, you do not need to download and install the MMC as the MMC is already included in Windows 2000/XP/Vista operating systems.

* If you do not install the MMC software, you can still operate the e-Cert Control Manager except its "Advanced Mode".
