in January 2000, Hongkong Post, as a recognized
Certification Authority, has been offering the
following types of recognised certificates to
individuals and organisations in Hong Kong:-

e-Cert and Bank-Cert Validity Period
Hongkong Post has been issuing e-Certs and Bank-Certs
carrying a physical validity period of one year
since January 2000. As part of our continuous
service improvement, the physical validity period
of e-Certs and Bank-Certs to be issued on or after
12 January 2004 will have a longer validity period
listed below:-

January 2004, Hongkong Post issues e-Cert
(Personal) and Bank-Cert (Personal) certificates
carrying a validity period of three years.
Previously issued e-Cert (Personal) and
Bank-Cert (Personal) certificates carrying
a validity period of one year will continue
to be valid until they expire or unless
they are suspended/revoked.
